So, what do you think the people at Best Buy think of this article?

I am all for going overboard for fitness sake, but the questions that arose from this article for me include:

A. If Best Buy's overhead expenses are high, why are the spending thousands of dollars on treadmill desks and muses? It is cool, but I think people like a paycheck over treadmill desks.
B. If you are in the process of laying off thousands a corporate headquarters, do you think it is a good time for an SVP to flaunt her NYC apartment, flights, two gym memberships, and thousands of dollars on fitness related stuff (which is very unclear whether or not Best Buy picks up the tab,
C. If you are an SVP at a Fortune 500 company, it is highly unlikely anyone can spend this much time working out and hanging out in NYC, unless you are just a hand shaker/figurehead. This isn't sexist, I say the same thing about the Ironman CEO challenge. My job suffered during Ironman training, and with this much time devoted to exercise, I would suspect Best Buy is on the short end of the stick on this one as well.
D. If this is her diet, she would collapse.

I am jealous. She has a good gig, if she can convince Brad Anderson to pay her an SVP's salary and expense accounts for working out, good for her. I just don't think that a WSJ article highlighting those facts during layoffs at corporate is very smart.

Topic #1- Will Chrissie Wellington "crash and burn"?

As the article suggests, Mr. Sutton's training methods have short term gains, but may shorten her career.
